Accessibility statement
Last updated: 14 October 2026
Summary
- We want everyone to be able to use IACL Comms, also with a screen reader, a magnifier, the keyboard alone or the system's high contrast.
- The target is WCAG 2.2 level AA (included in the European standard EN 301 549), and AAA where it is cheap, above all where guests join a meeting.
- Today we partially conform. What does not yet meet it, and what we do meanwhile, is below.
1. What it covers
This website (comms.iaconsultinglabs.com), the customer portal and the meeting room, including the page where someone invited without an account joins. It does not cover third-party products that embed IACL Comms: their accessibility also depends on them.
2. Conformance status
IACL Comms partially conforms to WCAG 2.2 level AA. What does not conform is in section 4.
3. What we have done
- Joining as a guest without seeing the screen. Each step (choosing microphone and camera, typing the name, accepting the terms, waiting to be let in, joining, leaving) moves the focus to where you continue and the screen reader says it once. You can join with audio only, without a camera.
- Before joining you are told whether the meeting may be recorded, whether it uses AI and whether it has a time limit. Inside, you hear when a recording or the AI starts or stops, and 10, 5 and 1 minute before a time-limited meeting ends.
- Everything with the keyboard, with the focus always visible. Room shortcuts that do not clash with NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver or TalkBack: Ctrl+D (microphone), Ctrl+E (camera), Alt+Shift+C (chat), Alt+Shift+L (people), Alt+Shift+S (captions), Alt+Shift+I (how the call is going) and Alt+Shift+H or «?» (help with all of them).
- Announcements without noise. Who joins and leaves, chat messages, being muted, a dropped connection: grouped and without interrupting; what is urgent (recording, someone knocking) is said at once. Who is speaking is not announced by itself, but you can ask with Alt+Shift+I.
- Live captions when the meeting uses real-time AI: each person turns them on, picks their size and decides whether their screen reader or braille display reads them.
- Contrast and size. Text contrast of at least 4.5:1 in light and dark, controls of at least 44 × 44 px where guests join, no horizontal scrolling at 320 px wide or at 400 % zoom. It respects reduced motion and the system's high contrast.
- Language. Every page states its language, and so does text in another one (for example the terms, in Spanish, on an English page).
4. What is not yet accessible
- Camera video and screen sharing. They are live images: a screen reader cannot read them. Whoever presents should describe what they show. A shared screen can be zoomed inside its tile.
- Live captions only exist if the meeting has real-time AI turned on. Without it, there are no captions of what is said.
- Card payment happens on a Stripe page, which we do not control.
- It has not yet been reviewed by an external audit or by a group of screen reader users. We have checked it ourselves (see section 5).
5. How we checked it
With our own review: automated tests with axe-core (WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2, levels A and AA) on every step of the guest entry, on the main portal screens and on this website, in light and dark themes and on phone and desktop screens; keyboard-only walkthroughs; and the browser's accessibility tree. The automated tests run again with every change.
6. If you find a barrier
Write to info@iaconsultinglabs.com with the subject «Accessibility». Tell us what you were trying to do, on which page and with which assistive technology (screen reader, browser, system). We reply within 20 working days at most and, if we cannot fix it right away, we give you another way to do what you need.
7. Date
Statement prepared on 14 October 2026 and reviewed on the same date. We will review it at least once a year and whenever something important in the product changes.
